1 The law specifies standard of quality of surface water by dividing into 5 types, parameters that are focused include temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, BOD, bacteria in the group of coliform, nitrate, ammonia, phenol, copper, nickel, manganese, zinc, cadmium, chromium hexavalent, lead, mercury, arsenic, cyanide, radioactivity, pesticide for plants and animals with chlorine all, DDT, alpha-BHC, dildrin aldrin, heptachlor, and endrin. The method in assessing surface water quality and in storing surface water sample shall be that specified by USEPA or other methods as approved by the Department of Pollution Control. [1],[2],[3]
2 The law specifies standard of quality of sea water divided into 6 types, parameters that are focused include examiamntion of suspended particulate, oil and fat on water surface, color, odor, temperature, pH, suspended solids, salinity, petroleum hydrocarbon, dissolved oxygen, total coliform bacteria, fecal caliform bacteria, nitrate-nitrogen, phosphate-phosphorus, ammonia-nitrogen (Unionized ammonia), cadmium, chromium hexavalent, manganese, fluoride, remaining chroline, phenol, sulfide, cyanide, PCB, arsenic, tributyl tin organic compound, Beta radioactivity, and chemicals used in preventing and eradicating pest. The method in examining sea water quality and in storing sample of sea water shall be as specified by the Department of Pollution Control under law. [1],[2],[4]
